Ciceovan Family and dog Zen (Mount Prospect, IL)
Dear Nancy and family,
We used to have a male Rottweiler by the name of Boomerang. He was of a good size, nice colors but he was distant and aloof. Then we had Zorro, also a male Rottweiler, bigger in size, good colors and posture, but kind of moody and not too friendly. Both passed away of old age and we missed them dearly... And then, we found out about the Schomberg Rottweiler Farm in La Crosse Wisconsin and we decided to take a closer look and if we liked what we saw, to get a puppy from you. We made the 5 hours trip and we saw the farm, your family and your dogs and we instantly had the feeling that this was the right place and one of your puppies will be the right dog for us. That`s how we got Zen. We did not hear Zen barking for the first 7 or 8 months and i remember i was a little worried and i called you, and i remember you laughed and said that boys take a little longer to mature, both dogs and human. We have a large yard by a park with open spaces, trees , lakes and wild geese. Now when Zen barks and he doesn`t do it very often, he sounds like the lion king and when he growls he sounds like a grizzly bear. He grew up to be a magnificent dog, 135 lbs of muscle, splendid colors, beautiful shiny coat, huge head, broad chest, tall, powerful with a noble posture. His temper is very balanced, calm, dignified, not too friendly with strangers but not aggressive either, protective but not paranoid, fearless if he feels there is some kind of danger. With friends and family he acts like a big teddy bear and he brings joy to our lives and security to our home. He once literally saved my life, but that is another story. If we ever decide to have another dog, after Zen, i would not go anywhere but to your farm. Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Dr. Aurora and Constantin Ciceovan. |
