Richard and Priscilla with dogs Abe and Molly (Verona, WI)
Hello Nancy; Every where we go we get compliments on how beautiful they are. They have super shiny coats and are very muscular. Our 3 acre lot in the country with practically no one around us helps to let them run free and play with each other. They spend a lot of energy that way in addition to a one and a half mile walk we take them on every day. They have been to almost all of our grandchildren's soccer games and all of the children love coming up and petting them. Their tails start to wag as soon as they notice someone walking up to them and they just love the attention. They are just BIG lovers. He is 87 pounds at this point and she is 77 lbs. (8 months). She seems to want to rule though. They are still figuring it out. We take them to pet stores with us and continuously socialize them to every one imaginable and dogs as well. They go to doggy day care once in awhile and as adolescents we have been told lately they team up so the sitters who have had Rottweiler's and know them, know how to curtail this right away. All good stuff. My grandchildren adore them. Hanna is 8 and Alex is 6. They are here constantly and play with Abe and Molly all of the time. They bring their 8 pound little dog with them Jack who you met when we picked then up at your place. They are now 8 months old and are about to get their Canine Good Citizen certificate. We are taking two classes at the same time!! We have been going to classes every week ever since they were 12 weeks old. Thank you. Richard
We took Abe and Molly to Magic's Legacy, Shannon Wolfe; in Genoa City, Wisconsin to test for herding instinct. We are very pleased to advise you that BOTH Abe and Molly received their Herding Instinct Certification today Nov. 12, 2011. They surprised everyone. 98% of attending dogs, there were over 50, were border collies and Australian sheep dogs and some of them did not get certified!!! You can see they are having a great time! Abe is now 90 lbs at 9 months tomorrow and Molly is 80 lbs. Feel free to use them to show some of your offspring have the herding instinct. They were FANTASTIC!! Had never seen a sheep in their life! They were very good ambassadors to the breed today! Calm and strong and gorgeous. Hello Nancy; Just an FYI, Abe and Molly (Carl & Ashes) passed their Canine Good Citizen test a week before they turned 10 months old this month. Priscilla took them and did excellent with both of them. Priscilla in particular has been spending a lot of time with them in training. Next is Agility which they are already starting to enjoy and then HOPEFULLY, Therapy Dogs after they turn a year old. Best wishes to you and Merry Christmas. Richard & Priscilla |
